We're so excited to have been asked to speak at the Slow Food MN foraged dinner, Where the Wild Things Are 2017. This meal is a fantastic opportunity to try some of the best that the area has to offer your taste buds. Nearly everything in the meal is found in the area (foraged), fresh and seasonal.
Besides being delicious, the event is also educational. There will be walking tours, tips on foraging for delectable treasons found all around us and more. We'll be speaking at the event and sharing about our food, farm and slow food philosophy.
Up-and-coming chef Yia Vang of Union Kitchen will cook a Hmong-inspired meal built around Minnesota foraged foods. Foraging was a way of life for the Hmong in Southeast Asia, and when they came to Minnesota, they adapted the dishes of their homeland to the wild plants they found here.
