May's plan details posted in this article (Click here)
This article is the meal plan kick off, May overview and pre-ordering post.
Betsy and I both love to cook, but we approach it quite differently.
She loves to read recipes and follows them exactly the first time ... oh and she's great at planning ahead.
Me... not so much any of that. I'll read a recipe for ideas and then decide all the ways it could be better prior to trying it. This drives Betsy crazy.
One thing we've found is that without planning ahead, we don't eat as well, scramble during the week and visit the grocery too often.
Sound familiar?
Follow along as Betsy gets us organized and we explore tips for making great meals in the middle of a busy life.
Every week, starting May 9th, we will post shopping lists, recipes, cooking tips and everything you need to hit the ground running for healthy and easy meals.
Below are the boxes we are going to cook with in May. We also will use some chicken and other brats/sausages we already have on hand.
Members: want these boxes? Log into the website and click to add to the May delivery.
NOT a member? This is the perfect time. Add these to your cart and checkout - we'll be here to give you great ideas for how to use this month's food!
Remember April 30th is the last day to add these to your cart for a May delivery

We will be using quite a bit of eggs (Spring!) so be sure to stock up on eggs this month.
Also some items from our freezer which can be found in these boxes:
Unlike grocery brats, we use organic seasoning and all our meat is raised on green pasture with transition or certified organic feed!
The beef brats and hotdog pack are "Uncured" and may be safely stored in the fridge to save freezer space. See details here

Emulsified ham is great for kids. It is an emulsified deli ham (officially called a pork roll) without any fatty parts like a traditional ham roast would have.
For the Gyro, you will want to crisp it up in a hot pan just before serving.

These are from our famous Red Ranger breed. These will cook up differently than the factory chicken you may be used to. They are fantastic. This is my favorite fresh cut of chicken we offer.
Here are some cooking tips specifically for this cut - hope you enjoy!

One of the things we're going to focus on is being efficient with our cooking so we can eat great meal most days without having to spend a lot of time during the busy week.
Most will be simple healthy meals, but we are going to post some new recipes that are a bit more extravagant like Betsy's from scratch English Muffins for our Eggs Benedict (be sure to get some sliced ham if you don't have it on hand).
Here are a few of the recipes we currently plan to include. We have a draft sequence to group meals together so we can minimize the total time it takes to pull these and other meals off.
I know this seems like a lot of meals and variety - but we have it organized to be fast and easy.
