What is so special?

Backwards Bread Co. was founded in 2016 and has been creating amazing breads and baked goods serving the South Cloud area and beyond. Once a month, Travis bakes heritage breads exclusively for TC Farm members, many of whom have raved about it. (Yes, it's that good.) The key attributes of our Backwards Bread are:

Long Ferment Sourdough

Heritage Wheat

Our sandwich loaves and pizza crust are made with a non-hybrid heritage wheat.

  • Better digestibility: many on a Gluten Free diet can eat heritage wheat even though it has gluten -read the story from the founder of the mill we get our flour from
  • Higher nutrient density: heritage wheat has more nutrients even before the benefit of sourdough
  • Better Flavor - Seriously. Just a much better flavor.


If your grocery or farmer's market bread isn't organic, that means there are likely pesticides sprayed on the wheat AFTER harvest and will probably have cancer-causing roundup in the mix.
