New Soups!

TC Farm is excited to offer new soups along with our monthly deliveries. We've included one soup in our September pop-up sampler and made a special soup sampler package as well!

Our family loved trying them. It was so nice to each be able to pick our personal favorite and get just what we wanted to dinner!

Sweet Potato & Quinoa Black Chili - The Kids Favorite!

Ingredients:

Scratch-made Veggie Stock, Sweet Potatoes, Black Beans, Onions, Diced Tomatoes, Red Quinoa, Red Peppers, Green Peppers, Orange Juice, Agave Syrup, Cold-pressed Sunflower Oil, Lime Juice, Sea Salt, Tomato Paste, Corn Starch, Garlic, Spices, Cilantro, Paprika

I've known Ryan and Mike (founders of the Simpls restaurants) for many years. I was so impressed meeting with them and hearing about their passion for local, organic food. I found it interesting they had built a thriving series of restaurants centered around their soups -- I thought these soups must be super impressive to anchor a restaurant!

Well, as you can imagine the pandemic shut down their restaurants - one main location was in the skyway and Betsy loved having meetings at the restaurant on campus.

However, they had such a following for these soups their customers still wanted them even if they were no longer at the office needing a quick healthy lunch. As you can imagine, they pivoted, offering the soups in Quart sized containers to enjoy at home.

We decided to share with TC Farm members so you can enjoy a quick, healthy meal instead of having to run out for takeout.

Edit: A couple members have already emailed to ask: Yes, the soups are delivered frozen so they store nicely! And yes, they are gluten free!

Split Pea and Kale - Betsy's Favorite

Ingredients: Split Peas, Scratch-made Veggie Stock, Kale, Onions, Celery, Carrots, Garlic, Thyme, Pepper, Rosemary, Sea Salt, Cold-pressed Sunflower Oil

Ryan and Mike have refined these recipes over the years. Most ingredients are organic and often local. The soups offered today are vegetarian and several are vegan - so you can enjoy them as-is or consider crisping up some cutup ham or other sausages to mix-in.

We designed our September Sampler to include some ham and garlic cheese bread to pair nicely with the split pea and kale soup!

We're working with Ryan and Mike to offer some soups using other TC Farm products, so look for those soon!

MN Wild Rice - A Classic Everyone Loves

Ingredients:

Local MN Wild Rice, Scratch-made Veggie Stock, Organic Valley Cream, Onions, Mushrooms, Carrots, Celery, Butter, Garlic, Almonds, Brown Rice Flour, Curry Powder, Parsley, Pepper, Salt

As you know, food security has been a passion for us at TC Farm. We often donate to local and international organizations helping those in need access food. The need around the world has increased dramatically this year.

One way to help is to donate to groups that help others, but what I love about Simpls is they have made it easy and tasty to help:
