TC Farm turkeys are pasture raised. This means they are slower growing and have a better flavor. Our turkeys literally roost in trees at night! We've been unable to find any turkey from the grocery that was actually raised outside on pasture. Some turkey is marketed as "Free-range" while housed in a barn with 15,000 other turkeys which don't really go outside to pasture (maybe they get out to a gravel/dirt lot?).
Other turkey comes with marketing material that looks like their birds live on pasture, but none of the birds in the grocery actually live that way. But OUR birds? OUR birds have organic feed and live a long amazing life out on green pasture with trees and sunshine.
Turkey isn't just for big holiday meals and special gatherings. While we have whole turkeys, we've also heard from our members that they'd like to have easier ways to cook with turkey throughout the year. We've introduced three new items to help!
One 12 ounce pack of our smoked TC Farm turkey breast.
Slice up into deli meat or serve up as a main course.

Our birds are raised out on green pasture and roost in the trees. They enjoy organic feed. No grocery turkey can compare, those are always raised in confinement barns even if their photos portray a different life.

All of three of the new turkey items (above, in Red) plus the other TC Farm turkey items we listed above are made with TC Farm turkey raised to our TC Farm standards.
For members who are looking for more of a value option, we also offer Ferndale turkey. We would prefer to only offer organic pasture raised items but also understand that we simply can't raise enough of that kind of turkey for everyone. We offer conventionally raised Ferndale birds as an alternative.
We think Ferndale is a well raised conventional turkey but there are differences between TC Farm turkey and Ferndale turkey.
We strongly believe in is transparency in our food supply. We are including this chart that lays out the difference between TC Farm turkey and Ferndale turkey so you can see the difference and pick what is right for you.
