Please note that we are aiming to include a balanced share which maximizes local and heirloom produce. However, we also want to minimize food waste by ensuring the included food is usable in our busy lives! Minnesota's fruit season is fairly short; we will feature seasonal specialty fruit year round at its peak flavor, but will also include every day fruits in every package.
With the snow on the way, we thought a nice summer scene would go nicely with the summer salad. This recipe works equally well with pork chops or chicken breasts. Although the ingredient list looks long, it is so easy to prepare. Everything can be made ahead of time which makes it a great dish for entertaining.
The perfect dish for entertaining guests. Or to use up any type of chicken you have in your freezer. Despite the long instructions (which includes random tidbits), this dish is reasonably quick and serves a lot of people for very little cost. (We fed 25 people with a double batch!) Plus it tastes super good and is easy to make!
Why didn’t we think of this sooner?! A bacon, avocado, and tomato sandwich was the perfect meal when Betsy came home from a long day of marching band and Jack had a long day of farming while parenting a toddler. Quick, easy, filling, super tasty, and loved by every member of the family. We will be making this again. And again and again….
